Lesson 18 -  Inquiry-based learning and research-based learning


When we talk about inquiry-based learning, we're talking about a way in which students ask questions that pique their interest, and this strategy can help kids build critical thinking abilities.

There are 5 components of Inquiry based learning namely.

1.Orientatiin/Observation

2.Question/Conceptualize

3.Investigation

4.Conclusion

5.Discussion/Sharing

The benefits of Inquiry-based learning it increases engagement to students; it allows them to take responsibility for their learning. Students can enhance their critical thinking skills.

-Research-based learning is aims to promote and develop students’ competencies related to research practice and to benefit students through activities linked to research. The growing importance of involving undergraduate students in professional research activities has been recognized in the universality ecosystem since the end of the past century. One of the main advantages would be to awaken student's interest in knowledge and the main problems that society faces in order that students may broaden their perspective and focus their study areas.
